No Wake Update
The historic level of rainfall that we’ve experienced since Saturday night has caused the Okauchee Lake and most other area lakes to mandate restrictions of “slow, no wake”. The Village of Okauchee Lake restrictions are imposed when the lake level exceeds a predetermined level, which occurred on Sunday morning. The village police have posted the restrictions and have patrolled the lake, as well. Our Lac Labelle police also control the spillage from the dam, and are currently allowing as much water as the dam mechanism can safely handle. It will certainly be a matter of time before the extra foot or so of water we experienced can flow down the Oconomowoc River to Oconomowoc and Fowler Lake, Lac Labelle and then to the Rock River on It’s way to the mighty Mississippi. Enjoy the slower pace.
